Google - Keyword Weight & Density Myth. Cheating at SEO and Internet Marketing
Be ethical
and comply - it pays dividends. Look at it another way, if you have
one hundred words and you repeat one of those twenty times, that leaves
eighty, if you have another important keyword and repeat that twenty
times, you have only sixty words left. Keep going, think of your third
most popular keyword and repeat it twenty times ... come on!! So what is
the point of gaining high positions in Google if your site suits Google's
algorithm but makes no sense to your clients, think about your real
objectives. The keyword
density on that page is arrived at by simply dividing the total number
of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page.
So here it is 5 divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage
of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that
is 0.05 x 100 = 5% The keyword
density should always be between 3% and 5%, or whatever percentage is
dictated at the time. |
